Greetings from the Chair - April 2017Tuesday, April 11, 2017
Greetings Chapter Members:
We have already ended the 1st Quarter of 2017, and it’s been quite a busy year so far!
We have “streamlined” our reporting processes with IAEE HQ, and have submitted a draft of the updated DC Chapter by-laws which have been approved by HQ, and will be ratified by vote in May.
We have established our Community Service committee, which already has scheduled two community service activities to for the 2nd quarter. (More details will come out shortly)! Stay tuned!
We launched our NEW DC Chapter website, which I hope you all have had a chance to peruse. Pay attention to the Calendar of Events that includes all upcoming luncheons, training offerings, and special events.
Our monthly luncheons and education sessions are now eligible for CE credits towards CEM recertification.
The Board, after taking the suggestions of the membership, has confirmed a date for our FIRST evening educational event which will be held in DC in June. Keep an eye out for that!
If anyone is interested in writing an article for our blog, Capitol Ideas, please contact Mary Higham, Director of Communications & Outreach at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can find any of the Board of Directors on the website. We would love to hear from you!
I would like to take this opportunity to say “Thank You” to the members of the Board, and to our Chapter Administrator, Michael Romero for your tireless efforts in making things happen for our members.
We’re Just Getting Started – HANG ON – It’s gonna be a FUN ride!
B. Murphy, CEM
