Description: Communicate timely and accurate information to membership regarding programs, social events and overall member value through IAEE strategic initiatives
Eligibility:
- Member in good standing
- Willing to give the time, energy, talents and enthusiasm required of the position
- Good organizational skills
General Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to all IAEE branding guidelines
- Ensure chapter initiatives, programs, and accomplishments are properly promoted by communicating and collaborating with other BOD members
- Utilize available communication channels to engage with membership and spread chapter awareness
- Research current communication/technology trends and topics pertinent to the meetings industry and report findings to Board of Directors
- Create graphic collateral to support promotional efforts for chapter events and initiatives
Social Media:
- Perform regular review of chapter social platforms to ensure their efficiency as a chapter communications device
- Maintain active presence on social platforms
- Facilitate posting of banner ads
- Develop social media campaigns
- Promote all chapter activities well in advance
- Develop social engagement strategies
Time Commitment:
- Regular attendance at board and/or committee meetings
- Attendance at chapter annual retreat
- Attendance at chapter activities and functions
- Commitment time (1-5 hours per month)
