For more than 25 years, Karen has successfully managed, grown, and launched event brands across many industries. She honed her branding, marketing, and sales skills in leadership positions at Reed Exhibitions, global corporations, event and marketing agencies, and an event technology provider.   In 2016, she founded Event Advisory Group with Mike Muldoon and Ray Luca, and has been instrumental in helping clients greatly improve tradeshow and conference attendance, participant engagement and retention, and exhibit sales & sponsorships, as well as extending event brands and reach via virtual events and year-round education and sponsorship strategies.

As Event Director of the Americas for Reed Travel Exhibitions (RTE), she successfully launched travel trade shows in the US, and established International Golf Travel Market as the premier golf tourism event in the world. Karen led the marketing efforts for Reed Exhibitions, where she consistently improved attendance and quality of buyers for manufacturing, technology, and entertainment events, resulting in higher exhibitor retention and onsite sales renewals of 25%+. 

Karen founded an event marketing & technology agency, New Generation Event Solutions (NGES), supporting association, event organizer, and corporate clients to achieve their event goals. She raised $1M in seed funding to launch The Women’s Congress for women entrepreneurs and corporate executives. Under her direction, the NGES team generated $1.8M in exhibit, sponsorship, and conference revenues, 40,000+ active online members, and 6,000 attendees at the launch event.

Karen was instrumental in the successful launch and future acquisition of b-there, one of the first event registration and housing SaaS solutions. She also led the marketing and event exhibit efforts for Citicorp POS and other leading corporations, publications, and technology firms. 

Karen has been recognized throughout her career for her leadership and business accomplishments.  Karen earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Arizona State University and a Certification in Exhibition Management from IAEE. She is also a Certified Dog Trainer (CDT).
