Tech Series

IAEE DC Chapter is excited to announce a new Technology Challenge Virtual Series designed to help event organizers solve some of their biggest event challenges with the help of innovative technologies.  Each virtual event will feature a challenge or problem that event organizers are facing and the selected technology providers will present how their solution helps solve it and results produced.  Each technology provider will present case studies or approaches to solve the challenge followed by a Q&A session from the audience.

It's free to attend for event organizers.  Grab your lunch and attend yourself or together with your team from 12:00 pm to 12:45 pm EDT.  Click on the date below to register for each session.  Attend one, two, or all three and find out how technology solutions can be applied to your event to improve engagement, extend your event year round, better leverage education content, reduce staff time, and many other benefits.

Challenge:  Although in-person events are making a comeback, attendance and exhibit participation will take some time to reach pre-pandemic levels.  Event organizers need to find new ways to provide more value, including connections, learning, and sourcing opportunities at the event and all year.  This session explores how advanced technologies can be used to attract more attendees and exhibitors at in-person or virtual events, better engage the audience to improve satisfaction and retention, and extend the event year-round to reach a broader audience and generate new revenue streams.

Challenge:  Event organizers are challenged more than ever to produce events with less staff and budget and shorter planning cycles.  This session will showcase how organizations can save time and operational costs, as well as improve results in attendance, exhibit & sponsorship sales, and engagement by automating manually intensive tasks and processes, consolidating solutions, and providing actionable intelligence for better decision-making.

Call for Presentations from Technology Providers

If your technology company has solved challenges for event organizers and helped them to achieve better event results, we want to hear from you!  We are looking for companies and new challenges to participate in September and October, as well as add additional Tech Challenges to the calendar this year and in 2023.

Some of the benefits of participating include:

  • Promotions for each virtual event in all DC Chapter channels - website, emails, social media, newsletters, events
  • Sessions are recorded and promoted all year round for on demand viewing
  • Dedicated email to the database of nearly 5,000 post-webinar to showcase your solution
  • Great ROI for the small sponsorship investment

Submissions will be reviewed by board members and two to three companies will be selected to present for each webinar. Companies can complete a submission for more than one challenge, but will only be selected for one event per year.

NOTE:  If selected, there is a $500 sponsorship fee to cover the costs of the webinar.

Past Tech Challenge Programs

Challenge:  Event organizers have more data than ever, but it can be overwhelming.  How can you make sense out of the data collected and use advanced tools like artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to make Amazon-like recommendations to your audience based on their behavior and interests? This session will demonstrate how to better leverage data and AI to improve participant engagement and satisfaction, enhance exhibitor interactions with attendees and ROI, and increase participation at future events.
