Session Description:

Two trade show organizers who have successfully navigated pandemic issues and produced events over the summer will present first-hand accounts about what worked well for their in-person or hybrid events, challenges they faced and how they were overcome, and what they will do differently to transform events as well as ensure their sustainability in the future. Another show organizer will present what they are planning for their upcoming annual conference and expo.

The moderator will facilitate an engaging discussion around these questions:

  • What factors/considerations did you / will you take into account to plan and execute your event?

  • If you had / having a hybrid event, how did / will you craft and execute both in-person and virtual experiences?

  • What did/will you do to get attendees to come to the in-person event? Did / will you broaden your attendee reach by producing a virtual component?

  • How did/will you manage expectations with sponsors and exhibitors?

  • What strategies will you put in place in the future to help your show emerge stronger and grow?

  • What new opportunities will you offer your attendees to improve engagement with suppliers and extend their experience beyond the event dates to a 365 model?
