Volunteering
Volunteerism is the engine which keeps our Chapter running smoothly. Not just from the standpoint of committees, boards, and special activities, but also in the sense of being Good Corporate Citizens in the communities in which we live and work.
We, the members of the DC Chapter of IAEE, live in and work in the greatest country and the greatest Industry in the world! It stands to reason that we should be HAPPY to give back to this Industry and to our community.
There are many ways to volunteer: You can serve on one of many committees within the Chapter; you can volunteer to get on the Board of the Chapter or you can donate some time to support our charities such as the Friends of Guest House and the Capital Area Food Bank. You can also volunteer to help out with specific events like the CEIR golf tournament held in the DC area. There Are Many Ways!
We have a healthy, vibrant Chapter full of some of the finest people I know and have met through volunteer activities. So it is without hesitation that I send out this appeal to “get involved” with the Chapter's volunteering opportunities. You might very well meet your next BFF!
Our next upcoming Community Service project will be in June at the Capital Area Food Bank. For more details look on our chapter website, or feel free to contact me directly.
Thank you,
