Description: Provide strategy for building member loyalty and enthusiasm of the industry and chapter through special event activities annually. These special events provide additional networking opportunities for members. Past special events/networking events have included Night at Nats Park, Bowling, Karaoke and the Reception held at Expo Expo
Eligibility:
- Member in good standing
- Willing to give the time, energy, talents and enthusiasm required of the position
- Good organizational skills
General Responsibilities:
- Develop strategies to establish special events such as Bowling, holiday socials and all other special events organized by the chapter.
- Monitor association and meetings industry trends to discover best practices in special events by other organizations
- Coordinate site selection, food/beverage, registration information, prizes and awards, consistent with annual budget
- Ensure proper promotion of special event
- Work with appropriate committee to develop and/or manage special event programs
- Report on special event strategies to the Board of Directors

- Night of Karaoke
- Expo Expo Reception
Time Commitment:
- Regular attendance at board and/or committee meetings
- Attendance at chapter annual retreat
- Attendance at chapter activities and functions
- Commitment time (1-5 hours per month)
