Welcome to IAEE Washington D.C. Chapter

1The Washington DC Chapter of IAEE draws it strengths from its members.  As the epicenter of the association world, our membership is distinguished, diverse, and densely populated.  This atmosphere lends itself to the creation of numerous educational and peer to peer engagement opportunities. The Washington DC Chapter of IAEE stands as the leading local resource for all exhibitions and events education offering multiple opportunities for members to grow and further their careers.

 

1Our membership mix also provides the opportunity for young professionals to interact with senior members of the exhibitions and events community often.  From free networking events to first-timer and monthly sponsored educational lunches, our chapter recognizes the importance of fostering the next generation of leaders.  This effort is evident in the creation of a new YP position on the 2016 chapter board of directors and the continued effort to provide a platform for newer members of our community as well as the seasoned professional. 

3Benefitting from having such a large membership situated in a geographically small chapter our community stays connected locally and develops strong, significant relationships evident on at national events.  Simply put, if you are engaged with the Washington, DC IAEE Chapter and you are attending a national IAEE event…you will always have a friend in the room.  Our members feel they role in the larger mission of IAEE and realize their importance in that larger community.  We offer scholarships and opportunities through the chapter to take advantage of national opportunities and advance their personal goals within IAEE. 

4The Washington DC Chapter Board of Directors challenges all of our community; engage the community, share and learn from the wealth of experience we offer, and give back by getting involved.

Topic: Exhibition Industry Outlook and New CEIR Data Analysis Tool Improvements.          

Speakers: Brian Casey, CEM President & CEO Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR)

Description:  CEIR has been working on some ground breaking tools that will assist the organizer with deeper analysis of their exhibition.  This session will offer insights into the latest CEIR Index Data, an overview of CEIR’s new Event Performance Calculator as well as an overview on how best to utilize CEIR’s research.
